2019 Pipeline Assessment Project
To approve a contract for the 2019 Pipeline Assessment Project with Ted Berry
Company, LLC of Livermore, ME for the amount not to exceed $154,600. Funding
will be through Department: 169 Wastewater; Fund: Bond; Activity: Sewer Rehab.
The purpose of this project is to obtain video of city sewer pipes to determine their
condition and plan for any needed repairs. This project will video approximately 60,000
linear feet of pipe in the oldest part of the inner city where our sewer infrastructure has
been the most problematic. After review of the video, a determination can be made on
which pipes need rehabilitation or replacement. A separate contract will be put out to
bid in early 2020 to make these repairs.
The project was advertised on August 28, 2019. A prebid meeting was held on
September 5, 2019. Seven contractors submitted qualified bids on September 18, 2019.
