the railroad property. There is no buildings. You look across to BAE and the mills are on the other side of the
river. There’s been some safety problems because the grade is very steep going down. Didn’t a car go off
here and someone died a few years ago.

The guardrail is in quite bad shape. The idea here is to replace the guardrail and repair the fence so there’s no
other safety issues.
Alderman O’Brien
Unfortunately | did have that particular call when the person was found. The situation is there’s a very large
drop. | think someone else with a wheelchair several years earlier happened. My commend to our city
engineers recognizing that this is a large drop. This will enhance the safety and eliminate something like that
happening in the future.

Yes. I’m sorry. My wife’s grandmother belonged there so | should know.

Does that property belong to the railroad company or is that city property?

This is within the city right-of-way.

I’m glad to see this getting done. It’s at a cost, but safety comes first.
Mayor Donchess
These are state funds coming from the state highway grant. Anything having to do with street maintenance or
travel is eligible for the state highway grant.
