POST SHELTER (VALUE: $49,155)
DEPARTMENT: EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT; FUND: HOMELAND SECURITY
GRANT

Please see attached communication from Justin Kates, Emergency Management Director dated August
14, 2018 for the information related to this purchase.

Pursuant to § 5-84 Special purchase procedures A. (5) Purchases from a sole manufacturer, where it is
determined to be more efficient and to reduce costs of maintenance of additional repair parts, supplies or
services

The Emergency Management Director, multidisciplinary first responder team and Purchasing Department
recommend awarding the purchase to ZUMRO Air Shelters USA, LLC of Pompano Beach, FL in an
amount of $49,155.
