STANDARD HATCH SAFETY GRATES
USF Fabrication's Standard Hatch Safety Grate can be installed on virtually any
of our floor access hatches. The hinged grate operates independently of the
door’s reinforcing, insuring that the door will meet the specified load
requirements even if the grate is damaged or removed
FEATURES
* Grate system provides safety features in both its open and closed positions: When closed, it provides
fall-through protection: When open, it acts as a vertical barrier: The 4" x 6" grate openings
allow visibility for routine maintenance while the grate remains closed and locked, reducing the risk
of fall-through
¢ Grates are aluminum with powder-coated safety orange finish, 316 Stainless steel hardware and
hold-open device, staple for a padlock [padlock not included)
¢ Floor access door cannot be closed until the Safety Grate is closed, insuring that the fall-through
protection grate is always in place when the door is opened
¢ Can be retrofitted into existing hatches and openings
* Available with a variety of optional features as well as custom sizes and configurations
