Responses to Questions from Bidders

What are the depths of the existing wells which in which dewatering pumps will be
installed?
A: The attached Table A provides the depths for each of the wells.
What type of valves should be installed for the air and discharge lines shown on Detail 1
on Sheet 5 of the Construction Drawings?
A: Standard brass or high-density polyethylene (HDPE) ball valves are acceptable.
Detail 5 on Sheet3 shows geotextile over the top of the trench. Is the geotextile
required only on the top of the trench or on all sides?
A: The geotextile is required on the top of the trench only.
Is geotextile required below and above the draintube piping? If so, what type of
geotextile?
A: Nonwoven geotextile is part of the composite Draintube™ material.
On Detail 1 on Sheet 7, what is meant by “one roll width” shown at the top of the detail?
A: It signifies one roll width of Draintube™. Each roll is approximately 13 feet wide.
Will any seeding or re-vegetation be required?
A: The Contractor will not be responsible for seeding or re-vegetation.
Can you provide the name and contact of the surveyor the landfill uses on-site?
