SUBMITTALS: IN ACCORDANCE WITH REQUIREMENTS OF GENERAL
SPECIFICATIONS, SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING:

A. Six sets of complete job mix formula shall be submitted to the Engineer at least two
weeks before any of the work of this section is to begin.

B. Delivery slips shall be furnished with each load of mix delivered to the project.
Information shall include:

Vehicle identification.

Date.

Project.

Identification of material.

Gross, tare and net weights.

Signed by the bituminous concrete producer.
Stamped by a licensed public weighmaster.

PART2-PRODUCTS

2.01 CRUSHED GRAVEL SUBBASE:

Crushed gravel subbase shall consist of inert material that is hard durable stone and coarse
sand, free from loam and clay, surface coatings and deleterious materials.

Gradation requirements for gravel subbase shall be as specified in NHDOT Standard
Specifications Section 02300, EARTHWORK for Crushed Gravel.

BITUMINOUS CONCRETE PAVEMENT:

Bituminous concrete pavements shall consist of Class I Bituminous Concrete, Type 1-1.
Bituminous concrete mixtures shall be within the composition limits of base courses, binder
courses, top courses and surface treatment, in accordance with NHDOT Standard

Specifications Section 401, that conform to Table 2.

Unless authorized by the Engineer, no Job-Mix Formula will be approved which specifies:
Less than 4% passing No. 200 for Top Course.

Less than 6% bitumen for Top Course.

The joint sealant shall be a hot poured rubberized emulsified asphalt sealant meeting the
requirements of Federal Specifications SS-S-1401 or SS-S-164.

The tack coat shall be an asphalt emulsion, RS-1, CRS-1, HFMS-1 CSS-1 if required.
SEAL COAT:

Seal coats shall be within the composition limits for protective seal coat emulsion in
accordance with NHDOT Standards.
