NOTIFICATIONS, PERMITS, AND LICENSES
Provide documentation to the Engineer that written notification as required by U.S. EPA
National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPS) Asbestos
Regulations (40 CFR 61, Subpart M) has been sent to and received by the regional
Asbestos NESHAPS Contact. Provide documentation to the Engineer at least 10 Days
prior to beginning any Asbestos-Containing Materials removal or related Work.
Provide documentation to the Engineer that written notification, as required by state and
local regulations, has been made to the following agencies prior to beginning any Work
on asbestos-containing materials to the following:
1. State of New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services; Waste
Management Division. Site Work Plans (SWPs) must be submitted to the Solid
Waste Compliance Section (SWCS) of the Waste Management Division for
approval prior to remediation of asbestos disposal sites or outdoor asbestos
renovation, demolition or remediation projects.
Notify the local police department of the asbestos abatement project. Coordinate with
the police for all security aspects of the project, as necessary.
Maintain current licenses as required by applicable state or local jurisdictions for the
removal, transporting, disposal or other regulated activity relative to the Work of this
Contract.
Maintain two copies of applicable federal, state, and local regulations above. Post one
copy of each at the job site and keep one copy of each regulation on file in Contractor's
office.
CONTRACTOR AND PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS
Proposed asbestos abatement personnel must meet all specification requirements.
Submission of the following by the Contractor 1s required under Subsection 1.04 of this
Section.
Personnel Qualifications: All personnel of the Contractor involved with asbestos
abatement Work must be trained, tested, and certified by the State of New Hampshire
prior to any Work and shall be thoroughly familiar with the Standard Operating
Procedure of the Contractor for abatement Work and all applicable regulations
