pumping, excavation, backfill, removal of old pavement and other unsuitable
materials, bedding, select material, gravel sub-base, clearing, grubbing, testing, a
post video analysis, plugging of decommissioned pipe penetrations in manholes,
removal and replacement of sidewalks and curbing (separate pay items for these
two items) and all work incidental thereto and not specifically included for
payment under other items

Ten (10) percent may be withheld from payment under the item until the sewer
has satisfactorily passed the testing requirements as specified.

The Contractor should factor into the costs possible delay time where
underground utility crossings are encountered, including water, gas, electric and
telecommunications. There are some duct bank crossings expected in the vicinity
of Franklin and Locust Street. The City bears no responsibility for any delay,
repairs or extra costs that may be necessary to the utility when crossing it.

Work shall conform to City of Nashua Standard Specifications Sewer & Drains
(available upon request from the City and also on the City web site
www.nashuanh.gov under Government —City Departments— Public Works—
Engineering Department). PVC Sewers crossing within 18" of a Water Main
shall be constructed as Class 52 Ductile Iron Pipe (unless stated otherwise in the
plans). Watertight Mechanical joint couplings shall be used to connect the PVC
pipe to the Ductile Iron Pipe, all in accordance with Section 3H-Standard
Specifications.

The work shall be paid for at the contract unit price per linear foot under Item 1a,
1b, 1c (1) and 1e. In locations where the old pipe to be removed is outside of but
adjacent to the trench of the proposed pipe, the removal of the old pipe will be paid by
Item 20.

Work shall also involve removal and disposal of asbestos pipe. This work will be
done by a certified contractor. This will be paid by Item 6q.

SECTIONAL LINING (Cured-In-Place-Pipe)

The length of sewer pipe to be renovated with cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) or a
short liner CIPP shall be paid for under the appropriate subdivisions of this item
and shall be measured by the linear foot along the completed CIPP installed from
outside edge of beginning sewer manhole to inside edge of ending sewer manhole
(ie. payment is for the actual length of CIPP pipe installed). Payment for this
item shall be the same whether a CIPP short liner or regular CIPP installation.

Linear foot price for pipe lining shall include full compensation for initial pipe
cleaning, sewer pipe video to identify all service locations, work related to
developing a report of the video before lining (to be provided to the engineer), all
equipment, water or steam needed to cure the pipe, and post video of the fully
cured CIPP pipe. All pre and post videos will be submitted to the Engineer, will
