PIPE SLEEVES & SEALS
Core drill a smooth hole through all layers of the existing masonry. Hole
shall be sized to facilitate standard rubber link compression seal
installation.
Install rubber link compression seal at each layer of masonry.
Seal each face with polyurethane sealant.
If a clean, smooth hole cannot be achieved, remove the masonry as
required to install Schedule 40 galvanized wall sleeve. Pipe sleeve
thicknesses for sizes larger than 24-inch diameter shall be the standard
0.375-inch thickness. Grout sleeve in place. Install rubber link
compression seal and sealant as noted above.
crete Floor Penetrations - Air to Air:
Same as “Interior Concrete Partitions - Air to Air’, except that sleeve will
not be required.
Stainless steel pipe riser clamp with stainless steel threaded rod embedded
into concrete floor to be installed on topside of penetration to support the
pipe vertically.
Install rubber link compression seal, as shown, covered by self-leveling
sealant (SikaFlex or equivalent).

3.1
INSTALLATION
A. Existing Construction:
1. The
location will be reviewed and accepted by the Engineer prior to coring or
cutting hole.
2. For concrete, holes shall be located to avoid the reinforcing steel when possible.
3. Patch all damaged work as required to maintain a neat and clean appearance.

manufacturer's instructions and recommendations.
