Demolition and Concrete Work
1. If a console and / or control panel is removed or demolished, then either:
remove associated concrete pad to below level floor surface per Drawing
Concrete Equipment Pad Demolition Details 228730-S0001 or cut
concrete _pad to match dimensions of newly installed control panel_and
demolish and remove excess concrete pad. In all areas of concrete pad
Work, restore the floor to match surrounding floor coverings. Concrete
and demolition Work is summarized by Work area, below.
2. Process Buildings
a. Control Room — Remove and dispose console and its concrete
pad. Restore floor surface per Drawing 228730-S0001.
b. Press Room — Remove and dispose console and its concrete pad.
Restore floor surface per Drawing 228730-S0001. Fill in void
behind removed console with mortared concrete block to match
surrounding wall type and color.
C. Thickening Room - Remove and dispose console and its concrete
pad. Restore floor surface per Drawing 228730-S0001. Cut
concrete _pad_ below existing panels to match dimensions of new
control panel. Restore any resulting gap between removed
concrete pad and floor surface per Drawing 228730-S0001.
3. Ancillary Buildings
a. Pump Building — Remove and dispose of demolished console and
its concrete _pad_and restore floor surface per Drawing 228730-
$0001. Cut out footprint of new control panel to a depth of 1-1/2
inches below floor surface. Install new concrete pad per Concrete
Pad Installation Details on Drawing 228730-S0002.
B-D.___All control panels shall be powered up upon installation, and all field wiring shall
be tested for proper termination. All analog signals shall be simulated for a
full-scale 4-20ma test.
3.04 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL
A. Provide in accordance with Division 01 General Requirements.
3.05 STARTUP & COMMISSIONING
A. Provide all labor, tools, materials, personnel, and equipment necessary to assist in
the startup and testing of the SCADA system with the Integrator after installation
of control panels and instruments, and termination of field wiring to panels is
complete. Start up and testing shall be witnessed by the Owner and/or Engineer.
