El. ALTERNATE 1 (perform only if awarded by Owner): Replace ceiling in
thickening room with ceiling tiles as specified in Section 09 51 00 and as
indicated in the General Notes on Drawing E-003.
Maintain clearances between cables and all other systems as recommended by the
cable manufacturer and system certifying entity. All cables shall be installed so as
to not violate the manufacturer’s recommended bending radius and maximum
pulling tension.
No cables shall be spliced, except those specifically indicated at the backboard.
E-K.___Provide labeling in accordance with EIA TIA/EIA-606-A. Handwritten labeling
is unacceptable.
M-L. Cables shall be labeled using color labels on both ends with identifiers in
accordance with EIA TIA/EIA-606-A.
NM._ SCADA Fiber Optic Cable
1. Fiber cable shall be installed within “inner duct” inside of all raceways.
2. Connect the blower room control panel to the new Ethernet switch in the
server / electrical room via fiber optic cable.
3. Demolish network switch control panel _and_its components in the
thickening room. Fiber optic cables shall be disconnected_and removed
individually based_on the process building where upgrades are occurring.
Sequence this work to avoid disruption to more than one process area at a
time.
4. Replace_all fiber optic cables connecting new or upgraded SCADA
components to the Ethernet_switch located_in the electrical / server room.
Fiber_optic cable shall include 50 percent_spare fibers. Use existing
subsurface conduit. See Drawing 228730-E007, Fiber Optic Site Plan,
showing the approximate cable locations and runs.
5. If existing subsurface conduit is damaged and unusable, contact Owner
and Engineer to arrange for approval of a change order_to address
trenching and conduit replacement.
6023.02 TERMINATIONS
A. Data Riser: Terminate fiber strands using the appropriate ST/SC connectors.
B. Ground patch panels via a bond connection to the appropriate communications
grounding busbar.
