B. Rack Mounted Patch Panels
1. CAT6 Patch Panels
a. Provide one (1) 48 port CAT6 patch panel designed to bolt in the
equipment rack assembly. Units shall be provided with full
complement (48 modules) of CAT6 cable termination modules.
Provide ports as required for installed cables, plus 10% spare.
b. Modules shall be labeled in front with room location number.
C. Modules shall be color coded “YELLOW” to match SCADA
cables.
C. Rack Mounted Ethernet Switch
1. Provide one 44-24 port Managed Industrial CAF6—Ethernet Switches
designed to install in equipment rack assembly. Switch shall be provided
with fall complement 24 medules} ef CA Feminimum 16 fiber optic cable
termination modules. Provide ports as required for installed cables, plus 10
percent% spare. Switch shall be utilized for the facilities? SCADA system.
2. Units shall have connectivity for up to 24 Gigabit ports with integral
fiberoptic termination modules. Units shall be provided in a rugged 19”
rackmount enclosure.
3. Switches shall be suitable for -40C to 85C operating temperature, and also
have dual power inputs options for 18-49VDC or 90-264VAC.
4. Units shall be equal to N-Tron Model #NT24K-AC1, Cisco, Linksys or
approved equal.
5. Modules shall be labeled in front with room location number.
6. Modules shall be color coded “YELLOW” to match SCADA cables.
D. Rack Mounted VPN/Firewall Appliances
1. Provide one (1) VPN/Firewall Appliance to be located in the equipment
rack assembly.
2. Unit shall feature the following:
a Wide area network (WAN) port and four additional Ethernet-ports.
b. Highly secure real-time control communication
C. Secure routing and firewall capabilities
d. Virtual Private Network (VPN)
