material will not be used.

ITEM “E(ALT)’ — PROTECTIVE SURFACING (RUBBER TILES)
A. SCOPE

This work shall consist of installation of a protective surface material at the location(s) shown on the
layout plan per the detail of the plan set provided or as ordered by the Engineer.

B. MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION

The Contractor shall supply all labor, materials, equipment and transportation necessary for the required

work. The depth of material may vary based on the fall height of the adjacent playground equipment

and shall consist of either a poured-in-place rubber system or an interlocking rubber tile system.
