Standard Specifications and Special Provisions
Main Street Sidewalk Improvements- Block 3 & 4 Crosswalk Curbing

Joints between curbstones shall be carefully filled with cement mortar and shall be neatly pointed
on top and exposed front portions. Cement mortar shall be composed of equal parts of cement
and sand with sufficient water to form a workable mixture.

The City will also be responsible for backfilling immediately after the curb is set and jointed.

Work shall proceed within an area only when that area can be completed within the work period.

Cc. MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT

Granite curb will be measured by the linear foot to the nearest 0.1 foot, from end to end along the
lower edge of the exposed face of the curbing. Payment for installing granite curb shall be at the
contract unit price per linear foot, complete in place, and shall include full compensation for
labor, tools, equipment, and any other incidentals necessary for the satisfactory completion of
this work as specified.
