Board of Aldermen 02-22-2022 Page 16

President Wilshire

We did vote it down but it could come back up in this term. That's not really the reason. Okay.

Steve Bolton, Corporation Counsel

Until a motion passes, you have not done anything. It's still in possession of the Board. It could be amended. Maybe an
appropriate amendment would change the result. It could be tabled and maybe something would happen that would
change the result. It could be sent back to committee. Any of those motions could be made. A motion that was made is
to indefinitely postpone which would do away with the issue and it would no longer be before the Board.

Alderman Cathey

So unless it's a yes and it passes, it's effectively still alive and kicking?

Steve Bolton, Corporation Counsel

Yes. Thank you.

Alderman Clemons

Thank you. You know | spoke to - so | co-sponsored this legislation with Alderwoman Kelly. | was actually the original
Alderman who put the amendment in to disallow an alderman to participate or the Chair from afar, if you will. At that time,
it was over the telephone. So | actually put that that legislation in effect. That was my amendment back in | want to say
2010 or 2011. I'm always one to remain open to new ideas. I'm glad that we had the discussion here. | think it was
worthwhile to hear what the other Aldermen had to say and what the public had to say on it. For me, to be honest with
you, there's | don't really have a strong feeling one way or the other on this but | wanted to at least thank everybody for a
good debate. | think it was a worthwhile conversation to have. So thank you.

President Wilshire

Motion is for indefinite postponement. No further discussion.
