Mr. Cummings, I'm just trying to help my employees and do well in my business. I swear, I'm
doing everything right back of the house, but is not my fault, winter months were slow and I
haven't had the pleasure of getting the sales from a Holiday Stroll, which I heard are good for the
business. If the barriers are getting approved, which I don't know yet, please allow SFK to have
the spaces, which we are used to and don't make any changes, like in other facilities. Give me the
same opportunity to increase sales and succeed financially in the summer months like others.
I can't compare my restaurant to Surf or Martha. I'm working very hard to improve the restaurant
and to it be more welcoming and customers will want to stop and try it again. My restaurant will
hurt if space is taken away. It may not seem a big difference but 2 spaces free of barriers and
ramp, allows for additional tables, which I already have since last year and one table increases
sales, sale that I don't have.
Again, I want to thank the whole board and committee for their hard work and long hours put
into the meetings, but I beg you, please help me and don't take away parking space from SFK.
The whole block consist of 13 parking spaces, I'm only asking for 2 free of barriers and ramp.
I have emailed Mr. Jette as well, but I'm also reaching out to you. I feel helpless and like I'm
being targeted, maybe because I'm Latin, but I don't understand why other establishments, like
Jaja belle didn't get any reductions in space and they are not even open 7 days like me and yet it
seems my restaurant is an issue.
Please, take my request into consideration.
Thank you,
Lina Gomez
