PURPOSE: Extending the hours of on-premises sales of alcoholic beverages
to 2:00 a.m. for charitable gaming facilities

ANALYSIS
This legislation permits businesses with games of chance facility licenses for charitable gaming
(pursuant to RSA 287-D:7) who have on-premises licenses for the sale of alcchoi to sell alcohol
for an additional hour, until 2:00 a.m. The licensees will be subject to all conditions and
requirements established by statute and the State Liquor Commission. The city’s authority to
extend the hours for sale of alcohol by on-premises licensees until 2:00 a.m. “under conditions
authorized by the legislative body of the city or town in which the premises are located” is found
at RSA 179:17, II (b).
