BOA,
YES. YES. YES.. This was and is an excellent addition to the Nashua summer outdoor scene. And not just because of
Covid. It should have been done long before covid started. And any new zoning, building, rehab in the downtown area
should allow for increased sidewalk and green space. Think CVS on the Main / Hollis corner. A fortress with next to no
sidewalk space. incredibly poor planning.
| say ail this acknowledging that the expanded restaurant space reduces parking and increases traffic congestion. The
reduced parking is a trade off. But there is parking on side streets and in city parking lots / garages close by. CLOSE BY is
the operative word. Complaining about parking because it isn’t available directly in front of the store is overblowing the
situation. The same people who complain about this will drive to the mall, park a long way from the store and walk in.
| dealt with the traffic congestion by using the parallel side streets. They have remained congestion free and easily
passable.
The multiple benefits of the expanded outdoor dining easily out way any problems it creates. It generates an entirely
new ambiance for downtown Nashua especially on warm summer days and evenings.
YES. Continue it. | would have no problem with it staying the same size and duration as last year (2021).
