To whom it may concern,
lam a 14 year resident of Nashua and I am writing to voice my opinion that I would not like to see the concrete
barriers on Main St. come back. I do not believe that all of the affected businesses were given the opportunity
to voice their opinions and/or concerns regarding this.
] am also against the barriers because it shuts down lanes of traffic on Main Street and I do not think we should
have anything voluntarily put in place that has a negative impact on response times for fire and police
personnel, as the police and fire department have stated in front of the Infrastructure Committee. | would need
to research and read more, but my layman's concern is that once the arts center opens, having Main Street be
only one lane is going to cause an even bigger traffic issue.
I am not against outdoor dining and very much am for a bustling, beautiful downtown for our residents. I don't
believe concrete barriers and shutting down lanes of traffic is the answer. I also think this issue should not be
rushed through so as to allow for proper and fair due diligence to all people and businesses affected by the
concrete barriers.
