RELATIVE TO THE ACCEPTANCE OF $300,000 FROM THE STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE, DEPARTMENT OF
SAFETY INTO POLICE GRANT ACTIVITY “FY2022 OPIOID ABUSE REDUCTION INITIATIVE (OARI) GRANT”
Given its second reading;
MOTION BY ALDERMAN CARON FOR FINAL PASSAGE OF R-21-175, BY ROLL CALL
ON THE QUESTION
Alderwoman Kelly
Thank you. Just a quick comment. | know that a Lieutenant Welch was here last night and just mentioned that we did not
get this. What we had, had the annual allotment last year due to COVID. So | was grateful to see that come back. We've
had our sights on a global pandemic but the opioid crisis is still with us. So appreciative of this money.
President Wilshire
Any further discussion?
Alderman Harriott-Gathright
And he also mentioned that it's a no match grant and that was great.
Alderwoman Lu
Thank you. Just for my information. When we approve this, have we looked at it - are there requirements or, you know,
other than matches that come along with these grants and are those part of what is reviewed in committee?
President Wilshire
Yes.
Alderwoman Lu
Thank you.
President Wilshire
You're welcome. Motion is for final passage.
Alderman Lopez
| just want to clarify this is a no match grant and we’re not matching it.
President Wilshire
Thank you. Further discussion. Seeing none, would the Clerk please call the roll?
