As a resident of Ward 3 who has enjoyed walking the trails in Greeley Park for over 40 years | am truly heartbroken that
our beautiful park will be destroyed by a development of condo units.
I think of the sign at the entrance road off Concord Street that reads: “a place to rest and enjoy nature”. | don’t see
how that will be true anymore after condo units are inserted into the middle of the park.
| know that it is private property and that I can only hope that if enough people express their disappointment in losing
this treasure then maybe the Barker family will consider selling the wooded portion to the city.
lam heartsick thinking of the wildlife that will be displaced and how the park itself will be irreversibly disfigured. if the
unthinkable happens then | will never be able to walk in the park again, preferring to remember it when it was
beautiful.
