Ladies and Gentlemen:

Oh Lord, please, not again! There is no need to repeat the unwarranted, knee jerk reactions of the past to the
current, natural progression of the Covid-19 virus. It's hard to recall a situation where more misinformation has
been heaped upon the public. This proposed ordinance emanating from the Nashua Board of Health might be
well-intentioned, but is simply unnecessary, and definitely infringes on the rights of all Nashua citizens.

The proposed ordinance begins by throwing out statistics. We've all seen that the Covid-19 statistics have been
manipulated by different people for different reasons. The case of former NY Gov. Cuomo lying about the
Covid-19 related fatalities in nursing homes has been well documented. He was trying to hide his
incompetence. On the other side, there have been too many reports of fatalities being attributed to Covid-19
when the virus had nothing to do with it. My favorite is the hit & run traffic victim whose death was attributed
to Covid-19 because the victim might have been exposed to the virus shortly before the accident. At this point,
I am skeptical of all these statistics.

Next, the ordinance introduces the fear, uncertainty and doubt regarding the dread "Omicron" variant. Yet the
South African doctor who first identified and reported Omicon has been quite vocal in denouncing the gross
overreaction to this variant, whose effects to date more closely mimic the common cold (another virus) rather

than a truly deadly disease.

The ordinance makes the blanket statement that "we know that vaccines are safe" when in fact we know that a
much larger % of those vaccinated than would have been expected have experienced ill effects, up to and
including death, from the vaccination. And the ordinance later states that the order applies to all regardless of
vaccination status. If vaccinations are so great and so effective, why is it irrelevant whether one is
vaccinated? And it would apply to all persons over 2 years of age! And there is no mention of natural
immunity already gained by those who have already recovered from Covid-19. Nonsense!

The ordinance then makes the statement "In fact, in one of the most controlled settings known, an outbreak of
Covid-19 in the contained environment of an aircraft carrier, wearing a face covering was associated with a
70% reduction in the risk of infection with Covid-19.". As we know, an aircraft carrier is a warship that serves
as a seagoing airbase, equipped with a full-length flight deck and facilities for carrying, arming, deploying, and
recovering aircraft. To which "contained environment” is the ordinance referring? Some particular section of
the carrier? The open air deck where much of the activity takes place? What has that got to do with

Nashua? There are also well qualified medical professionals who maintain that masks, except for the N95 class
or more sophisticated masks, do virtually nothing. The ordinance doesn't specify N95 masks, nor should it.

Looking at Covid-19 situations state by state in the US, a case can be made that the states and localities without
these types of draconian restrictions are faring better than those forcing their citizens to comply with unpopular,
and likely unconstitutional, mandates such as that proposed by this ordinance.
