Dear City of Nashua Alderman,
| am writing to express my support for the proposed legislation that would approve the city to issue a
bond to purchase the 15 Bartlett Ave property. | have heard complaints about this being a “NIMBY”
(Not in my Back Yard) reaction. | would absolutely disagree; | do not live in the neighborhood- even in
the ward- and | am very much against the development of this property.
| understand that the property is not part of Greeley Park even though it does abut it, but it would be a
shame and a disservice to generations to come if the 13 acres of beautiful old forest is destroyed.
The developer has made it clear that he plans to clear-cut the land. I am passionate about the city’s
remaining green space, especially in light of the current climate crisis. This will absolutely impact Greeley
Park for the thousands of visitors who enjoy it each year, not to mention the destruction of those
beautiful trees and what that means for the climate crisis.
It is not too late to move forward with this one step in the right direction.
Sincerely,
Geri Panno
