of Main Street to increase commercial and housing density, and
continue the public realm improvements suggested for the northern
section.
Main Street South
The southern section of Main
Street is not recommended for
significant lane reduction beyond
East Hollis Street due to the
presence of wetlands/nature
bordering Main St, and a lack of
continuous parallel roads where
traffic could be re-routed. There
is longer-term development
opportunity in this section to
increase commercial and housing
density, and continue the public
realm improvements suggested
for the northern section.
