The most notable change is the availability of highly effective vaccines. As such, the CDC has determined that

fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask or physically distance in any setting, except where
required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and
workplace guidance. This is based on the science which says that indoor and outdoor activities pose minimal

risk to fully vaccinated people and that fully vaccinated people have a reduced risk of transmitting SARS-CoV-2

toe unvaccinated people. The CDC published the following graphic to help all Americans make informed

decisions:

In light of these CDC guidelines and the recognition that fully vaccinated people have a low risk of causing

harm to themselves or to others, the Board of Health has recommended that the mask mandate be lifted.
