Special Board of Aldermen 01-25-2021 Page 5

Solid Waste Equipment Coverage Storage of $500,000.00; all of our equipment as you guys know is all outside
right now, snow covered, in the weather. We are trying to get most of my equipment underneath cover like my
loader. Most of all my trash trucks and any other equipment that we can fit in there just to keep it out of the
weather and try to get some more longevity out of our equipment. Solid Waste Scale Replacement, most
scales have been in place long before | started with the City 23 years ago and at any time they could start to
go. So | want to get that process moving to get those replaced and have a new system up and running. And
then our replacement of two refuse trucks for $600,000.00.

Chairman Dowd

OK. Do any of the Aldermen have any questions about what the contents are for this bond? Seeing none, | will
now look for testimony in favor of R-21-106.

Chairman Dowd closed the public hearing on R-21-106 at 7:12 p.m.

R-21-107 AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY TREASURER TO ISSUE BONDS NOT TO EXCEED
THE AMOUNT OF FIVE MILLION ONE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS
($5,150,000) FOR THE CITY’S SEWER INFRASTRUCTURE PROGRAM

Chairman Dowd

Director Fauteux, who will be giving us that presentation?

Director Fauteux

Actually City Engineer Dan Hudson is here to speak to that, Alderman Dowd.

Chairman Dowd

Ok, Dan?

Dan Hudson, City Engineer

Thank you Mr. Chair. So this is the bond for the annual sewer work. It covers both the replacement of pipes
and the inspection and lining of pipes. It is healthy program but we have a lot of pipes to look at and maybe we
are playing a little bit of catch up. So if we find good value in this, as discussed previously, lining is a lot less
expensive than replacement and this is what enables us to find pipes, line the ones in disrepair before they go
into a worse state and need replacement.

Chairman Dowd

OK, does anyone have any questions concerning the content of what this bond is going to be used for. Seeing
and hearing none, | will now ask for testimony in favor of R-20-107.

TESTIMONY IN FAVOR - None
