Good morning,
lam a Nashua resident and would like to extend my support of the proposed ordinance to require the use of face masks.
| am young and healthy but | live with my mother who is immunocompromised. | feel we all have a responsibility to
protect everyone in our community. This needs to be a joint effort and | feel that the only way to get more people on
board is to make the use of masks mandatory.
| also work at gateways community services where | serve as a case manager for many elderly Nashua residents. In
‘speaking with my clients many are afraid to leave their homes or have caregivers come into their homes because the
general public is not taking the proper precautions to keep them safe.
| admit that when this all started | felt very silly wearing a mask. However, as | saw more and more people using them |
felt more comfortable. If everyone is wearing masks then no ane has to feel silly or self-conscious.
It is my hope that this ordinance is passed in order to safeguard our community. Many of us feel powerless in facing this
virus but wearing a mask is a simple act that we can all participate in.
