ORDER TO THE CONTRACT WITH SANDBORN HEAD AND ASSOCIATES, INC. TO PREPARE AND SUBMIT A
NHDES TYPE II] PERMIT MODIFICATION, PREPARE PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND BID DOCUMENTS, AND
PERFORM BID-PHASE SERVICES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PHASE Ill, STAGE 2 LINED LANDFILL
EXPANSION IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $91,000. FUNDING WILL BE THROUGH DEPARTMENT: 168
SOLID WASTE; FUND: BOND; ACTIVITY: LANDFILL EXPANSION PHASE III & IV

Thank you. Jeff Lafleur, Superintendent of Solid Waste. When we opened up our new landfill in the Phase III, we knew
that there was going to be a second phase to this. With the length of time that has taken DES to approve permits and
everything, we need to get this moving to gain some more air space. We'll gain probably another three of four more years
of air space in the Phase III landfill by doing this design. It’s called a “zig zag”. It’s designed to gain more air space for
the city. So this is the application being submitted and Sanborn Head taking care of all of the paperwork just like for
Phase IV.
