PURPOSE: Relative to the acceptance and appropriation of $159,460 from
the United States Department of Housing and Urban
Development CARES ACT funding into Public Health and
Community Services Grant Activity “Housing Opportunities
for Persons with AIDS (“HOPWA”)”

FISCAL NOTE: Fiscal impact is a $159,460 grant to be used for a specific
purpose.
ANALYSIS
This resolution authorizes the City to accept and appropriate funds from the United States
Department of Housing and Urban Development CARES ACT funding for the purpose of
providing funding to the Southern New Hampshire HIV/AIDS Task Force for operations in order
to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus. This funding shall be in effect from May
1, 2020 through April 30, 2023.
