The City of Nashua begins Data Collection
On Monday, March 204 af 4 pm fhe City of Nashua Assessing Departmen!
and Board of Assessors will hold a Revaluation Start-Up meeting in the
City Hall Auditorium. Residents are welcome to attend.
The Appraisal Firm of Vision Government Solutions has been hired by the
City of Nashua to begin a City-wide Revaluation Project. Vision's
Appraisal division will be working with the Assessing Department fo make
the process a successful one. There are five major phases to a municipat
revaluation: Data Collection, Market Analysis, Valuation, Fleld Review
and Informal and Formal Appeal Hearings. During these phases many
tasks wlll be implemented in order fo successfully complete the
revaluation. Data Collecfion is the first phase.
Dato Collection will begin the first week of March and last for
approximately 24 months. Data Collectors will be working between the
hours of 8 a.m. -7 p.m. Monday - Saturday.
Date collectors will wear reflective clothing and carry badges Identitying
them as Vision Government Solution employees and will cary written
documentation from the City stating their affiliation with the project.
Vision Government Solution employees and thelr vehicles will also be
registered with the Nashua Police Deparment and the Assessor's Office.
Homeowners are encouraged to ask for this identification prior fo
admitting anyone into their homes. if a homeowner hes a question as to
the identity of a data collector, they may call the Nashua Assessor's
Office at (603) 589-3040 or the Nashua Police department non-
emergency number (603) 594-3500,
As the data collection begins In Nashua data collectors also known as
“Listers” go to each property and physicolly inspect the interlor and verity
the measurements of the exterior of each bullding. These Listers wil note
& bullding's size, age, condition, quality of construction, Improvements,
topography, ulillitles, and numerous other characterlstics both inside and
out. To ensure that a home was Inspected, the homeowner Is asked to
sign the data collection form to verity that fhe Inspection took place. The
entire process takes approximately 15 minutes for most properties.
