MOTION CARRIED

Ordinance O-20-024 declared duly adopted.

O-20-026
Endorser. Alderman Patricia Klee
REMOVING HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACES IN FRONT OF 3 BEACON COURT AND 9 AND
11 MOUNT PLEASANT STREET
Given its second reading;

MOTION BY ALDERMAN KLEE FOR FINAL PASSAGE OF O-20-026, BY ROLL CALL
ON THE QUESTION
Alderman Klee

And if appropriate I’d like to make a comment. Thank you very much Madam President. | brought this
forward because of hearing from constituents that there were handicapped spots in front of these properties
at 3 Beacon Street, 9 and 11 Mount Pleasant Street that were no longer being used. And where parking is
always such a premium everywhere within this City, we brought this forward and so on. And the fact that
this existed is a good thing because they were very well needed at the time that they were requested and
so on but | think we need to review our process as to when we do approve special spaces for whatever the
reasons are as to a sunset or a revisit of them. Because many of these, from what I’ve heard from the
residents in the area is there were years that they weren’t being used .So I'd like to just kind of put that out
there as food for thought that we should probably review the current ones. If they are still needed and
perhaps there are others that are needed but that’s why | brought this forward. So thank you very much.

President Wilshire

You’re welcome. The Motion is for Final Passage; further discussion on that motion? Seeing none would
the Clerk please call the roll?
